A Nice Weekend

All things considered, we had a nice weekend in Andalusia. We spent a lot of the day, Saturday, in Enterprise for the funeral. Jack did great all day. He sat, still, in my lap during the service. Then, after the service, I chased him (in heels) through the cemetery. It was a little bit dangerous for him because a lot of the headstones were still turned over from the tornado that went through there about a year ago.

When Jack says, "I don't know", he looks at you and puts both of his hands up like in this picture. It is one of the cutest things that he does. Sometimes, I'll ask him a random question just to see him do it.

About 30 minutes after we got home, we heard the tornado sirens. That shocked us because we didn't know the weather was going to be severe. Anyway, about 20 minutes later James Spann was telling people in Riverchase to "go to their place of safety". We didn't experience a tornado, but for about 30 seconds we saw some unbelievable winds out of our basement window. The trees were bent way over. They said that some of the straigt line winds were 80 mph! I took a picture of the big limb in our front yard. Anytime we have a strong storm, all of our neighbors have big piles of limbs and sticks on the curb for pick up...
