Concord

Holden and I visited Concord Elementary School, this morning. We went to pick up my pay stub. It felt a little weird, since I have not been there since mid-December. We went to every classroom and visited all of the teachers. It might sound crazy, but my students looked like they had grown so much in 2 months!

I cannot believe that I go back to work, next week. As for right now, Will's surgery is back on, so my mom gets to do week 1, by herself. My dad is going to ATL to help out. My biggest worry... what am I going to wear!! My maternity clothes sag off my bottom, but my regular clothes are no where near buttoning. That was the biggest shock from my first pregnancy. I never dreamed that it would take so long for your hips to shrink back to their old size.

This outfit was a gift from LeeLee. He looks so cute.

Happy Belated Birthday!

With all of the hubbub in our house, yesterday, I forgot to wish Jason a happy birthday on the blog. Happy 35th birthday, Jason. LeeLee and Big J were in town for the weekend. Aunt Susan and Uncle Jim came in town, for the day. We even had a visit from Jeff and Mandy because Jeff went to play golf with Jason and his dad. It was a busy day!

Good News

At Holden's 6 week check up, on Wednesday, his doctor heard a small heart murmur. Jack went through the same thing, at this age. And, just like Jack, we went to the cardiologist, this morning. Also, just like Jack, the cardiologist said his heart looked great and he couldn't hear the murmur.

That is what we were planning on. =)

Feeling Better

Our feelings on vaccines...

Holden has not reacted well to his vaccines. I think he feels bad.

Jack playing with Holden's bath towel.

Jack looking very grown up. It's sad when his face is still stained from spaghetti, even after a bath. He looks so much like his daddy, except for my brown eyes.

Boys will be boys.

More Snow Fun

The new house

Jack and Holden's playground

I made him "cold" hot chocolate. He wouldn't let me heat it up.

This is what Holden thought of the snow.

Bubbles in the Snow

Here are some pictures of the kind of snow we used to get in Huntsville. These are from January 1988. Is this what I have to look forward to with 2 boys? (I'm not sure James and David will be happy I posted this picture):

All Boy

Our new drive home, from daycare, involves passing 3 constructions sites on HWY 150. Jack has become a connoisseur of trucks/cars. During our drive, he points out the dump trucks, tractors, diggers, cement trucks, front loaders, big rigs, school buses, and vans. He has a couple of books with pictures of these and many toys. We discuss whether or not they will be "working". There are typically two reasons that they aren't working: 1)It's too late, 2)It's too cold. He always tells me what is the reason.

Finally

After 4 weeks and 2 days, that darn "belly button" finally decided to fall off. That meant it was time for a tub bath!

A Visitor

Uncle David has been in Alabama for a short visit. It was good to see him. Our 31st birthday is in about a week, so it was nice to spend some time together. I was disappointed that Sarah could not come with him. Kiki is spending the week with me, while Grandad is in Atlanta because Will is having another surgery. We are thinking about him and keeping him in our prayers.

Yes, Jack is wearing Christmas PJs. They are so thick and warm.
