Happy 30th Birthday, Aunt Jennifer!

Jason won his division (35+) at the Connect 3on3 tournament. We are very proud of our daddy. I took Jack, even though he was still recovering from his illness. I wanted him to get to see Jason play basketball. After about 30 minutes there, he started packing my bag, then began to push me up from my chair and told me he wanted to go home. For about 10 minutes after we got in the car, he cried because he wanted to see daddy play basketball. Good Grief. Toddlers.

The face of strep throat...

Jack was sent home from school, yesterday, with a fever and throwing up. He has strep. Last night, he threw up twice, in his bed. It was from forceful coughing. Fortunately, this occurred before 10pm. So, instead of changing his sheets, again, we booted Dad to the guest bedroom and Jack slept with me. I'm pretty sure that is the first time Jack has ever slept in the bed with one of us, at our house.

For some reason, I especially missed Jack, today. He still cries, when I leave for work, and when Jason leaves him at daycare.

Then, this happened when I picked him up:

They were on the playground and he ran to me, so I picked him up. I don't normally do this, but I decided to carry him through the hallway and out to the parking lot. Halfway down the hallway, he hugs me around the neck and says, loudly, "this is MY mommy". He sounded so proud. It made my day.
