Double Whammy!

Jack has a virus and strep throat. Blah!! He feels awful and will be spending another day at home. And, I was just starting to build my sick days back up. Oh, well.

Happy Birthday, Aunt Jennifer!

We want wish Aunt Jennifer a very happy birthday!

Also, to update those who knew Jack was sick... He seems to be feeling better. He woke up Saturday morning with a 102.3 fever. It never really went below 100.0 until Sunday. His illness came out of nowhere. He had been feeling great. Then, he came home from daycare, Friday, with a cough. Anyway, despite the high fever he has been playing hard. That is the weird thing. He obviously feels awful, but has been running around like always. Oh, well. We don't really have a choice, but to keep him home, tomorrow, since he had a 99.1 fever around 2pm.

A Short Tribute to Sam...

Sam qualifies as one of those cats that make people hate cats. She thinks she is the queen of this house and everyone should answer to her. She even tries to boss around her 20 lb brother! You are very lucky, if you happen to be one of the chosen few that she likes. However, underneath that tough exterior she is just a big "softy" that wants a good scratching.

Jason and I are headed to Orange Beach, AL, this weekend, to pretend we are 21 years old again. We are spending a 3 day weekend relaxing in the lazy river and going to see 2 concerts. Jack will spend 2 nights with LeeLee and Big J, in Andalusia.

We had a long weekend with my parents. Jack's school was closed, Friday, so they came to visit and stayed through Easter....

Happy Easter!!! I guess next year I'll have to get with it and buy Jack an Easter basket. Last year Leelee brought him one and this year Kiki did.

By the way... my favorite thing about every Easter service is the Hallelujah Chorus.

A Family Reunion?

I had a fun weekend. My grandmother came in to town. On Saturday, we took her to the Brookside Greenway Festival. The bike race is named after my great great grandfather, "Frenchie" Negron. He was mayor of Brookside, AL in the early 1900s. The Festival wasn't quite what I expected, but it was nice to meet some relatives. The first picture is of Gran with her brother and his wife, my great-uncle Bill and Aunt Sharon. (Uncle Bill and Aunt Sharon, actually live not very far from us)











Gran cracks me up. I hope to have half as much energy as her, when I'm 80 years old.

Where did all the hair go?

After much deliberation, I decided to cut Jack's hair. I'm pretty sure she cut, at least, 2 inches of his hair. It was so long. I liked it long, but this is a lot better for the summer. By the way... that is a seersucker outfit. I couldn't resist.
